From mid-March to mid-May 2011

The Full Gamut gallery featured works by Weymouth painter Ian Dyke who predominantly uses acrylics on canvas to produce his striking abstract paintings. Many of Ian's pieces are also available to order as Giclee prints and several samples are included in the exhibition. Ian describes his approach to painting as purposely ambiguous, making a conscious effort to reduce the elements of his designs to studies of shapes and lines, but with a particular emphasis on colour. This collection is in fact a veritable celebration of colour and a kaleidescopic examination of its interactions with other compositional elements. This is Ian's debut solo exhibition and The Full Gamut is pleased to host this impactful show by an already very accomplished local talent.
