October/November 2010

The Full Gamut Art Gallery in Weymouth, Dorset is currently featuring works by Hampshire artist Nicola Burley, composed of abstract paintings from her extensive “Soul Searching” series. The colourful works have a calming, mesmeric effect that really gets the observer thinking.
“I am fascinated by how abstract colours and shapes speak – make contact with something deep within – conjuring up memories, feelings and instincts...These paintings mean a lot to me; trigger a response in me and the title of each piece [encapsulates] this. I will be interested to learn if my paintings have a similar effect on others.”
Whether you are normally a fan of contemporary art or not you are encouraged to visit The Full Gamut gallery before the end of November and to share your thoughts about the exhibition.
